We are in the process of testing a new email notification system. Our forum email service has been down for some time. This system allows you to send messages to other forum members, sends an email when a post you're following changes, and other notices that are sent via email. Hopefully this new system will continue to work properly. So if you're interested in a particular post, you can now follow it and be notified when it changes or a new message is posted. That's rather nice, instead of having to check every few days to see if something new has been added. There is also another upgrade to the forum version. Only minor changes, but it's always best to get these changes made. We'll get to that as soon as possible. You can hide this announcement now that you've read it by clicking on the little "X" in the upper right corner of the announcement window. Thanks for being a member. We appreciate your participation.

Re: Badland Aircraft Launching
That's what I noticed as well. Picked up the tail quick. Now, using Jim Pfarr's Belite technique may get the plane off the ground even faster. Jim goes no flaps until just below rotation speed, then jacks in the flaps which pops the plane into the air, drops the flaps partly and fly's away.
Now with a small 2 stroke this may not work as well. However, with a 303 or a Thumpair (which has a lot of torque like a 1/2 VW) I think it might work. One day I hope to give it a few tries.

Any video of the Badlands flights at Oshkosh '24?
I haven't found any on YouTube yet.

Chris has a few that I've seen, but not posted here. I'll have to see if I can find them and provide the links.

I have a lot of pics of it flying at Oshkosh but have never done u-tube, so I’ll have to see if I can down load some to here. Might have to get Grand kid help! I know there were a lot of others taking video so I figured they would show up by now.
