Wonderful weather this morning ... projected into the mid-70s by this afternoon ... Much done on the wing spar root doublers.
Measured and drilled the AN5 bolt/Pin holes in the upper doublers and the 4 BSPQ-44 rivet holes in the upper and lower doublers. Once the lift and jury struts are installed and the wing is properly aligned I'll drill through the upper doubler, through the mounting lugs and the lower end of each spar then drill and cleco the upper doubler in place. Once this is done, I can drill and cleco the lower doubler in place finishing the installation by drilling through the spar and lower doubler for the AN5 bolt/pin.
Following this I can use my new Milwaukee 2" metal hole saw too complete the features needed to fold the wing. major progress ... once the lift strut inserts arrive.
We are in the process of testing a new email notification system. Our forum email service has been down for some time. This system allows you to send messages to other forum members, sends an email when a post you're following changes, and other notices that are sent via email. Hopefully this new system will continue to work properly. So if you're interested in a particular post, you can now follow it and be notified when it changes or a new message is posted. That's rather nice, instead of having to check every few days to see if something new has been added. There is also another upgrade to the forum version. Only minor changes, but it's always best to get these changes made. We'll get to that as soon as possible. You can hide this announcement now that you've read it by clicking on the little "X" in the upper right corner of the announcement window. Thanks for being a member. We appreciate your participation.
