Mounted the Polini to get an idea of where to locate firewall pass-thrus. (Yes, Chris has informed me that the firewall is mounted upside-down ... will fix).
I have a 12VDC 5 Amp-hr motorcycle battery that I will locate on the cockpit floor centered against the firewall and secured via a large cable tie. I pass the wires thru the firewall via two rubber grommets insulating AN3 bolts to which I attach the battery wires and the engine connections. The "terminals" thus give me locations on both sides of the firewall for power connections. (Will position and mount the engine relay later.)
I have the fuel-line pass thru via a rubber grommet on the stb side to an elbo to my inline fuel filter thence to the Polini fuel pump which I mounted with cable clamps to a cross-member of the welded engine mount provided by Chris.
Currently availing myself of the unseasonably warm weather (yippie) to install the upper and lower flapperon droppers in the stb wing. Pictures to follow.
We are in the process of testing a new email notification system. Our forum email service has been down for some time. This system allows you to send messages to other forum members, sends an email when a post you're following changes, and other notices that are sent via email. Hopefully this new system will continue to work properly. So if you're interested in a particular post, you can now follow it and be notified when it changes or a new message is posted. That's rather nice, instead of having to check every few days to see if something new has been added. There is also another upgrade to the forum version. Only minor changes, but it's always best to get these changes made. We'll get to that as soon as possible. You can hide this announcement now that you've read it by clicking on the little "X" in the upper right corner of the announcement window. Thanks for being a member. We appreciate your participation.
